Your tasks:

  • Your comprehensive area of responsibility includes the independent preparation of private and company tax returns as well as the review of tax assessments
  • You will also be responsible for preparing annual financial statements for all legal forms
  • You communicate with clients, tax offices, banks and authorities

Your profile:

  • Training as a tax clerk (m/f) and/or tax specialist (m/f)
  • Sound knowledge of income tax law and accounting practice under commercial law

Your tasks

As a member of a highly motivated audit team, you will be responsible for

  • Responsibility for the entire process of auditing annual and consolidated financial statements in accordance with HGB and IFRS as well as for other business audits
  • Management and coordination of an audit team as well as interdisciplinary cooperation with specialists from various consulting areas
  • Preparation of audit reports as well as preparation and implementation of final meetings and presentations
  • Ensuring the quality of the audit and reporting
  • Responsibility for the team's work results and for the proper creation of working papers in "DATEV AP comfort"
  • Advising clients on accounting, tax and other business management issues
  • Maintaining and expanding existing client relationships
  • You will conduct the final discussions, support and advise our clients on complex accounting issues and accompany special audits and consulting projects.
  • You will also be involved in the preparation of test reports and be responsible for the work results of your team, for which you will assume technical management responsibility.

After graduating from high school, you will be trained as an assistant tax advisor, with varied activities in the areas of bookkeeping, preparing annual financial statements, tax returns, practice and work organization as well as communication technology.

We endeavor to offer long-term employment to tax clerks trained by us who have passed their exams with good results.

We promote further career paths for those with special qualifications:

  • After successfully passing the exam, you can start training to become a tax assistant
  • You can also begin your studies - e.g. business administration at the University of Cologne - or at the University of Applied Sciences in Bergisch Gladbach (FHDW) and continue working for us as a tax assistant on a part-time basis. After graduating from university (with a degree in business administration), you will have the opportunity to work with us as an assistant to the partners in the areas of activity of a service program:
  • Audit of annual financial statements in accordance with statutory and voluntary requirements
  • Advising entrepreneurs, freelancers and private individuals - primarily medium-sized companies and their shareholders - on complex tax, business management and corporate law issues

Our training team

The training system at KONLUS is well organized. Our trainees are looked after by a partner and two trainers. The trainers all have many years of experience and additional qualifications as tax consultants, tax specialists and/or accountants. Trainer meetings are held regularly to discuss the development of the trainees, learning content and internal training events.
